After writing about the WEBGUI in the new Netweaver release, I decided to install SAP Screen Personas 3.0 SP1 in the same system.

This blog tells a bit about my experience.

Quick start

After downloading and unpacking the Personas packages from the SAP Service Marketplace, and putting the PAT files into the EPS/in folder, I logged on with DDIC in client 000 in my test system.

Then I ran SAINT to load the packages and start the wizard to install the add-on.

After the import of the installation package and SP1, the wizard is almost finished:

The final result in SAINT:

Configuration steps

Now that the add-on is installed, I need to add a Personas role to my user:

As a result, my start menu changed:

Now that I am able to use the Personas Administration transaction code, I want to see what I am missing, in configuration steps matters:

There are yellow and red traffic lights:

Configuration Adjustments

When I tried to implement SAP note 2179045 via SNOTE, a popup appeared:

This means that a change is needed in SE03, option "Set System Change Option":

The Personas namespace needs to be changed to "Modifiable".

After all the changes are completed:

Go Personas!

Even though there are 2 yellow traffic lights, the Personas can be tested

As soon as SP2 is available, then you can follow the configuration steps available here.
